LORETTA FAHY

 

 

Bio

Loretta Fahy is a native of Co. Sligo, Ireland, and a graduate of Trinity College, Dublin. She is one of the founding members of the Writer’s Workshop and is currently living and working in Brussels. She was active for many years in community theatre in Brussels, and she wrote and directed plays for the Irish Theatre Group. She has gone on to have several of her poems published in journals and papers, including The Irish Times. She explores themes of family, love, and exile in her work, and despite living abroad for many years, the voices of the west of Ireland are very present.

 

Poetry Publications:

Offerings of Recompense, was published in the Irish Times, Hennessy New Irish Writings, in April 2019

Linden Lined Roads and Sparrow in Lockdown were featured as part of the Irish Embassy Belgium, An Irish Garland series in December 2020.  

City Sparrow was published in the Dedalus Press Anthology, Small Wonders.

Poems have also been published in Allegro, and the Irish literary journal An Capall Dorcha
