In his novels, Powers draws from disciplines as diverse as neuroscience, astronomy, evolutionary biology and literary studies to reflect on the biggest questions facing contemporary society. Much of his work explores today’s ecological crisis and the connection between humanity, technology, and the natural world – all through deeply human characters and poetic prose which create an immersive and thought-provoking literary experience.

Powers will present his new novel Playground (released October 3rd) which takes you along a deep exploration of our shared humanity set in the world’s largest ocean. He will be interviewed by Annelies Beck
